About the Conference
An academic meeting space for researchers, students, and practitioners around the critical challenges of biodiversity conservation.
Biodiversity, a true natural heritage of our planet, forms the foundation of ecosystem functioning and the well-being of human societies. However, over the past few decades, it has been undergoing an unprecedented decline, driven by the combined effects of global changes such as climate warming, rapid urbanization, overexploitation of natural resources, pollution, and habitat fragmentation. These large-scale transformations profoundly alter ecological balances and compromise the resilience of ecosystems in the face of anthropogenic pressures. In response to these challenges, the scientific community, public institutions, and civil society actors are mobilizing to understand, assess, and mitigate the impacts of global changes on biodiversity.
It is within this perspective that the present seminar, entitled "Biodiversity and Global Changes", is organized as a space for exchange, reflection, and sharing of experiences among researchers, students, managers, and decision-makers.
